"Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way."
- John Evans
Bethel Local Schools provides special education services for all students Prek-12. These services may include supervision, school psychologists, therapies, transition, and other services. Services are provided through learning assistant teams, 504s, and Individualized Education Plans. It's the district's goal to develop individual student strengths and facilitate their development.
Questions or Concerns Regarding 504s or Individualized Education Plans
Welcome to Bethel Local School's Special Education Department. The Special Education Department of the Bethel Local Schools recognizes individual differences exist in students and strives to coordinate and implement a variety of student services to enhance educational opportunities for our community’s children ages three through to adulthood ending at their twenty-second birthday. The Special Education Department oversees services for Homebound Instruction, Section 504 eligibility and planning, Preschool Special Education, and Special Education for school-age students.
It is my privilege to serve as the Director of Special Education. I have 14 years experience as an Intervention Specialist, and am entering my 14th year as a Special Education Administrator. We have an experienced Special Education Staff that includes Intervention Specialists, Related Service Staff, a full time School Psychologist, and Educational Aides. It is our goal to meet the needs of our students and to give daily opportunities for growth.
Thank You,
