Welcome to the Treasury Department. Bethel Local School District’s Treasurer’s Department handles all financial matters of the Bethel Board of Education and the District. The office works with district staff and the Board to provide sound financial leadership for the District. The matters involved but not limited are receipting, safekeeping, accounting for, and disbursement of all public funds as required by law and in accordance with Board regulations and policies. The Department is also responsible for banking, fringe benefit programs, investments, bond issues, financial reporting, forecasting, financial policy development, and Board minutes.

Treasurer, Tina K. Hageman began serving Bethel Local Schools as Treasurer on August 2, 2021. Prior to her acceptance of this position, Mrs. Hageman, served as the Treasurer for Miamisburg City Schools in Montgomery County for (5 ½ ) five and a half years and for Adams County/Ohio Valley Local School District in Adams County, Ohio for (8 ½) eight and a half years. During her time at both Districts, she was instrumental in improving processes and promoting efficiencies which assisted with reducing costs. Mrs. Hageman has been the recipient of the Auditor of State Award and the Auditor of State Award with Distinction on multiple occasions. In addition, she has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting multiple times. Mrs. Hageman has a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management/Accounting from Urbana University and has been serving school districts in a fiscal capacity for the last fourteen years, beginning her career in public education as a Payroll Specialist at Mad River Local Schools in June of 2004. Mrs. Hageman strives for transparency and excellence in the Treasurer’s Office and will do her best to ensure the best quality product for the students, staff, and community of Bethel Local Schools.
Assistant Treasurer, Mackenzi Hadder comes to Bethel with a variety of experience and a wealth of knowledge in public education payroll processes and benefits. Most recently, Mackenzi served as Payroll Manager of Tipp City Schools and before that she spent many years in hospitality management, sales accounting processing and banking. In 2022 she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Accounting from Franklin University, as well as an Associate degree in Real Estate in 2019 from Sinclair Community College. Mackenzi has a passion for perfecting fiscal processes, internal controls, and balancing.
When not working, Mackenzi loves to spend her free time with her 3 children. You can bet they are either playing soccer or basketball, watching football, swimming at the pool or traveling when given the chance.
Sandra Johnson comes to us with over 20-years experience in accounts payable, receivable and inventory. The 2023-2024 school year will begin her first year in education and she is excited to begin the journey. She will be responsible for accounts payable, receivables, purchase orders and inventory so please stop into the new Treasurer’s Office and introduce yourself.
In her spare time, she enjoys long-distance motorcycle trips with her boyfriend Jason. To date, she has traveled through 18 states. Ask her about her journeys.

Assistant to the Treasurer, Jetta Massie comes to Bethel Schools with 20 years of experience in customer service, administration management, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable in hospitality and manufacturing. The 2023-2024 school year with be the start of her transition into education. She will be responsible for accounts receivable, student activities budgeting, employee contracts, and assisting with HR functions/benefits.
In her free time, she loves hanging out with her husband and two children. They are either watching movies, having dance parties, or going on adventures.
Jennifer Mason, EMIS Coordinator, came to Bethel in August 2022 with 20 years of experience in EMIS practices. She has a passion for details, with a strength in problem-solving skills. Her responsibilities are to report complete and accurate district data to the Ohio Department of Education. She is also responsible for managing the various data submissions, troubleshooting, problem-solving, etc. associated with various EMIS reporting periods throughout the school year.
Jennifer is a mother of three children and a Nana to one granddaughter. Her hobbies include roller skating, spending time with family, riding roller coasters, attending her son’s football games, and spending quality time in the sun.
Public Comment
The Bethel Local School District is eligible to receive federal funding (ARP-ESSER) for services and materials directly related to assisting students with disabilities. The District plans to use these funds to provide software, materials and a transition specialist that will provide inclusion specialist support to students with disabilities and general education teachers, this individual will assist with transition planning for students and provides additional accommodation and modification support that will enable students with disabilities to access general education curriculum. This additional support will assist in closing any learning gaps that may be present due to COVID-19 related education loss.
